Devlog - Prototype #4

Roadmap?

There is currently no roadmap. The one that I used in previous devlogs is outdated. That roadmap was created in the very early stages of the project and is not very in line with the current stage of the project. And, since the project will be released in a few weeks, I can spend my time better on creating the actual game.

Level 1.2 - High and medium details

During the last few weeks, I have been working on creating puzzles, mechanics, visual assets, and implementing some of the assets in the game. In this level, level 2.1, you can see the current stage it is in. High and medium level details are implemented. I still have to implement low-level details (small rocks, paths, grass, etc).

Level 2.1 - High details

Level 2.1 now contains high-level details, meaning that there are obstacles blocking the wrong paths and the solutions are in, so those puzzles are playable.

Level 3.2 - Block-out

Level 3.2 is in the block-out phase. This block-out level was already playable in the previous build and is still playable in the latest build.

Visual direction

This mood-board represents the world direction I am taking the project. In my previous devlog, I talked a bit about different narrative directions and what might fits the project best. Based on that, I did some more research into the setting I had decided on. In this mood-board, I explored different assets and environment pieces that I might want to make for the project.

Map Down-Scale

The size of the map was way too much for myself alone and the time frame. Therefore, I have decided to scrap multiple levels out of the game and focus more on the individual level.

Thank you

The reason why I am creating these devlogs is to log my work publicly. To give a sense of pressure to me. However, I am always open to feedback and constructed criticism. If you have a question or feedback, feel free to leave it below! Thank you again for reading!
